Watermelon Mint Water 🍉 


It’s almost summertime but if you live in the South like we do it’s been hot for months! This drink is absolutely refreshing and perfect for those BBQ get togethers or for a ladies night in. 

So here’s what you need

  • 3 cups watermelon, chopped
  • 5 mint leaves, chopped 
  • 1/2 gallon of water 

Serve over ice and enjoy! 

November Water Challenge💦 


If you’re like most people I know you have a hard time getting all of your daily allotment of water in, so, for the month of November I’m doing a challenge to keep us hydrated! 

Did you know you need to drink HALF of your body weight in water every single day to stay hydrated? Yep, so let’s say you weight 150lbs you need to drink 75oz per day! It is completely doable once you get into the habit of it.

Coconut Strawberry Smoothie:

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries 
  • 1/2-1 tbsp honey 

Blend all ingredients. Makes one serving.

Glass of........you got it - water!    It takes a loss of only 1% – 2% of your body’s ideal water content to cause dehydration.

Glass of........you got it - water!    You MUST remember to drink even when you’re not thirsty.

Glass of........you got it - water!    An average person loses about 90 ounces of water daily.

Glass of........you got it - water!    Drink more if you’re engaged in sweaty exercise.

an un-quenchable thirst in the body.

Glass of........you got it - water!    Drinking ice cold water actually makes you lose weight because fat calories are burned to bring the water temperature up to internal 98.6 degrees F. Some people find they have stomach cramps from this, so experiment and see if your body is ok with this.

so make sure older people are drinking plenty of water.

Glass of........you got it - water!    Don’t misinterpret your thirst drive as hunger.  Drink an “ice-cold” glass of water and wait a minute or two.  You’ll find your not as hungry as you thought.

Glass of........you got it - water!    Beverages that contain caffeine, i.e. coffee, some tea and some sodas act as diuretics, increasing urine production and promoting loss of fluids.

Glass of........you got it - water!    Negative effect of caffeine provokes insulin release and may in fact enhance the storage of what is eaten – as fat.

Glass of........you got it - water!    If your eyes, nose, and throat feel dry – drink some water before you use eyedrops, nasal sprays, or suck on a candy or cough drop.  Your body has been trying to tell you that you need MORE WATER.
